- Dr. Rebekah Richert and her colleagues divided 96 babies ages 12 to 24 months into two groups. One group watched "Baby Einstein" videos five times every two weeks for six weeks, and the other group did not.
- The babies that viewed the videos did not learn more words than the non-viewing ones unless their parents interacted with him, according to their report, which was published in the Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine.
- This new result backs up previous research from Harvard Medical School that found television viewing before age 2 years old does not increase a child's language and motor skills.
