"'They don't know some of the most common sexually transmitted diseases and their consequences,' Frappier said. '(About) 25 percent think it can be contracted by sitting on the toilet seat or swimming in a pool.'"The ignorance about STDs, combined with so many teens having unprotected sex, has led to a spike in sexually transmitted infections.
