Should 12-year-olds have cellphones? What about 11-year-olds? How about ten-year-olds? New York Times writer Alina Tugend talks about why she and her husband decided to get their 10-year-old son his own phone. Although they didn't often lavish high-tech toys on their boys, the Tugend's found it less expensive than they thought to outfit their oldest son with his own phone.
