Traditional Family Roles Evolve and Stereotypes Change

As the number of stay-at-home Dads increases, traditional family roles are slowly changing to accommodate new role models. Moms are now the breadwinners and Dads cook, clean, and take care of the kids.

An article online at ColumbiaMissourian.com, says that Dads take parenting just as seriously as they did working traditional jobs. As more fathers stay home and more mothers go off to earn money to support their families, traditional roles continue to change. So far, many Dads report little criticism and lots of enthusiasm for their decision. In addition, children of at-home fathers don’t have the same sex-role stereotypes.
